American Pie Reunion

All the original main cast members return for their Reunion.

American Pie Reunion.

One Line Review:

Take away the American Pie cast and this is the sequel to Grown Ups.

Cast:

As I said in the picture caption, all the main cast from the first three movies return, Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Sean William Scott, Chris Klein, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Tara Reid and Mena Suvari. Also returning, even though he was in all the spin offs is Eugene Levi, who in my opinion, is the funniest of the lot. Also many of the support cast of the first three movies return, including Jennifer Coolidge as Stifler’s Mum, John Cho as “that Milf guy”, Shannon Elizabeth as Nadia and Chris Evans’ Sherminator. Cameos from Neil Patrick Harris and Vik Sahay (know from Chuck). Not going to lie, I had to IMDB most of the cast names. Talant wise, theres a reason I dont know any of their names. None of them are a-list stars. Biggs, Hannigan, Scott and Levi are alright, Levi stealing the show in my opinion, the rest all play their characters fine, but i cant say that the characters of Kevin or Oz require much talent to play. That sounds harsh, but i couldn’t reword it. My favourite in all three the original movies and this is Eddie Kaye Thomas as Finch. Finch is one of my favourite characters from any movie i have ever watched, and he supplies us with plenty of Finch’s crazyness.

Overview:

So I’m going to do a non-spoiler review, like i should be doing, even though the last few all had spoiler sections in them. This movie is hilarious throughout. There are jokes in here that are for fans of the original trilogy and newcomers. However as hilarious as the humour is, the story couldn’t hold itself up. So much of the plot was predictable, as were a few of the funny moments, but they still worked. There’s a slice of nudity for everyone in this film, and the girls are hawwwwt!!

Recommend: Yes, but only a one time viewing, probably not going to getthe dvd for a while after it’s out.

Overall: 6.5/10 (7 seemed too generous and 6 seemed too low)
